In a commanding display, the English national team clinched a further win versus their opponents, with a number of players turning in memorable performances during the match.

Starting Eleven

The goalkeeper Had little to do required in the first half but then called into action by an opponent's curled attempt. One well-timed sliding intervention against Qazim Laci highlighted sharp game intelligence. 6/10

Jarell Quansah Tested against the opposition's biggest threat in their forward. Operated more centrally to begin with but moved out wide after a teammate entered the fray. Seven

John Stones Pushed into midfield when in possession, as he has done before. At times lacked urgency on the ball and the tactic abandoned after the break. 6/10

Dan Burn A constant threat on corners and free-kicks, as always, perhaps is a replacement to Stones in defense as opposed to alongside him. A loose ball after the break almost led to an opener for Albania. 6/10

Nico O’Reilly One more assured performance by the rising star after his initial appearance versus another side. Saka failed to make the most of a gorgeous touch behind their defense. His position looks secure so soon. 7/10

Adam Wharton His first start for his country. A bit loose on the ball though his dangerous set-pieces were a threat. An effective pace-controller available to the boss to have versus teams who drop deep. Cautioned for a poorly timed tackle. 6/10

Declan Rice Set-pieces on corner kicks and set-plays caused problems. Had freedom to roam on the left only to be in an offside position upon receiving in shooting positions. Granted a deserved break around the 60-minute point. 6

Jude Bellingham Functioned in a high spot down the right while also contributed with dirty work. Demonstrated moments of class and mishit a shot over. Withdrawn towards the end by Rogers, his competition, after receiving a caution. 7/10

The winger Had the team's top opening before halftime, his shot excellently kept out by Thomas Strakosha. As a teammate hanging back, it fell to him to provide width down the right side but his crosses from the touchline varied in quality. Substituted late in the match. 6

The captain The difference-maker scoring seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth goals for his country. The first a typical opportunist's goal and his next a superb finish with his head after peeling away from his marker. At 32, he’s only getting better and England are strong contenders in the upcoming tournament with him up top. 8

Eberechi Eze Struggled to get into the game out wide. Had a decent opportunity when set up by Bellingham yet Strakosha kept it out. Rashford made much more of effect in his place. 5/10

• Saka (for the winger 63) Missed opportunities but his corner led to the first goal, 6/10
• Marcus Rashford (for the attacker with 15 left) Lively upon introduction and provided the captain's brace with a brilliant delivery to the back post, 7/10
• Anderson (for Wharton 75) Appears comfortable already, 6/10
• Morgan Rogers (for the star 84) Not enough time to make an impact, 6/10
